Mt Dirfys is Evia's highest mountain, with a height of 1750m. It is covered in forests and the summit can be easily reached, offering spectacular views on clear days. There is a charming village, Steni, on the way up, which has many tavernas offering meat delicacies. The nearby Agali Gorge, which can be walked in a little over two hours, offers wonderful trekking.
